Lakeshore Advantage appoints director of SURGE
An economic development organization’s entrepreneurial support arm has a new leader.
Amanda Chocko was appointed last month as director of SURGE by Zeeland-based Lakeshore Advantage.
She was the interim director of SURGE from September through December.
In the role, Chocko manages startup programming and connects entrepreneurs to people and resources to help them reach milestones and grow.
Previously, Chocko spent eight years at Start Garden, where she helped launch 5X5 Night and the Seamless IoT commercialization program.
She was Lakeshore Advantage’s director of entrepreneurial development from 2006 to 2010.
As an entrepreneur, Chocko has launched several ventures, including a salon, a dating service, an events and training company and most recently, a nutritional therapy practice called The Feeling Groovy Project.
She holds a degree in business management from Davenport University and is a certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association as a nutritional therapy practitioner for holistic health.
