A store that offers pet supplies, dog-wash stations and a grooming salon has opened in the region.

Dan Skinner and Kasey Skinner and Craig LeMieux and Dianne LeMieux recently opened a franchise location of Livonia-based Pet Supplies Plus in Norton Shores, at 5729 S. Harvey St.

“Our store is large enough to carry everything your pet needs, and you can always expect to receive neighborly service,” Dan Skinner said. “Ultimately, we want to provide our neighbors and their pets with the best shopping experience possible. That’s what our ‘minus the hassle’ tagline is all about.”

In addition to pet food and products, the store offers amenities such as self-service dog-wash stations, a full-service grooming salon, veterinary services provided by VIP Petcare Clinics and a carry-out service where team members carry heavy items to customers’ cars.

The owners also plan to partner with local animal shelters, rescue organizations and nonprofits, such as Noah Project, The Humane Society and Animal Rescue of Muskegon County, to host adoption events, fundraisers and pet food and product drives.

Shoppers are welcome to bring their pets into the store with them.

Pet Supplies Plus of Norton Shores will offer a free Preferred Pet Club, which connects members to regular coupons and monthly specials.

The new store is open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.

Pet Supplies Plus has 435 locations in 33 states.
