A battery company serving the automotive industry has merged with an out-of-state manufacturer.

Holland-based Global Battery Solutions and Dynamic Manufacturing in Hillside, Illinois recently signed a "strategic alliance agreement" to function as one company in battery re-manufacturing.

The merged entity, branded as Dynamic GBS, was forged to address a growing demand for battery lifecycle management as automotive manufacturers continue to electrify their product offerings.

“We’re experiencing a huge shift in the needs of our OEM customers,” said Gary Noel, chairman, Dynamic Manufacturing. “We’re pleased to have found a partner with battery expertise to allow us to continue to meet all of our customers’ needs.”

Dynamic Manufacturing is a supplier of re-manufactured torque converters, transmissions and transfer case assemblies, and Global Battery Solutions is a technology company in the field of advanced chemistry battery lifecycle management.

“Our focus on innovation is what sets us apart,” said Kris Hunter, managing partner, Global Battery Solutions. “As pioneers in the 4R’s approach — battery repair, re-manufacture, repurpose and recycle — our team is continuously seeking ways to introduce efficiency and safety throughout the lifecycle of a battery.”

The newly formed Dynamic GBS is headquartered in Holland, with additional manufacturing facilities in Hillside, Illinois.

The company provides repair and re-manufacturing services for electronic vehicle battery packs, utilizing proprietary testing and balancing processes.

The Holland facility is home to a full commercial electronics laboratory for the testing and repair of battery components and for R&D capacity.
