Change Ups: Bank of America appoints Lee senior VP

David Lee was named Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s senior vice president and senior relationship manager, serving middle market companies with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billon. Based in Grand Rapids, Lee will be responsible for delivering the full capabilities of the bank to current and prospective clients to enable them to meet their financial goals. Lee previously worked for the bank for much of the 2000s in the consumer and retail investment banking group in Chicago. He relocated to the Grand Rapids area in 2011 after joining the corporate development team at a large privately held company. He most recently was a consultant to early-stage consumer products companies.


Rehmann was named one of Accounting Today’s Fastest-Growing Firms in the United States, ranking among the country’s Top 100 Firms and Regional Leaders. Ranking 14th among the fastest-growing firms in the country, Rehmann showed a 23.28% growth rate with revenue totaling $143 million in 2018.


Bloomfield-based Hubbell, Roth & Clark Inc. promoted Jesse M. Morgan to associate. Morgan oversees municipal operations in HRC’s Grand Rapids office.

Sparta-based ChoiceOne Financial Services Inc. and Lapeer-based County Bank Corp. jointly announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement in which County will combine with ChoiceOne in a strategic merger of equals. The agreement was approved by the boards of directors of both companies. The combination will create an approximately $1.3-billion asset bank holding company with 28 offices in southeastern and West Michigan, making it the 12th-largest bank holding company in Michigan based on asset size. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2019.

Metro Health – University of Michigan Health in Wyoming announced the appointment of cardiologist Dr. Ronald Grifka as chief medical officer. The Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation announced it has donated $100,000 to Allegan General Hospital for new sterilizing machines that significantly increase the number of surgical instruments that can be sterilized at a given time.
