A Grand Rapids-based digital consulting firm has been acquired by a company in the same industry.

Kalamazoo-based Spark Business Works, part of the CSM Group of Companies, acquired Elevator Up, according to an Instagram post yesterday by Aaron Schaap, the founder and CEO of Elevator Up.

“This is an incredible milestone for our family and a personal one for me,” Schaap says. “It unlocks a lot of potential for the families at Elevator Up and the overall business for years to come.”

Elevator Up was founded in 2004 and specializes business modeling, application development and web development for a variety of industries.

Spark Business Works builds mobile apps, dashboards and workflow tools for business clients. The firm also provides several other services, including enterprise resource planning, technology consulting and software development.

Spark Business Works declined to comment on the acquisition at press time.
