A university and utility have partnered to offer employee scholarships.

Davenport University developed a partnership with Detroit-based DTE Energy to offer $250,000 in scholarships for DTE employees to attend Davenport University, according to DU.

The Corporate Education Scholarship is an initiative between Davenport University and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce to create opportunities for in-state companies to provide educational benefits to their employees.

The Corporate Education Scholarship is offered to qualifying Michigan Chamber of Commerce member companies and provides scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 per employee.

The funds are made available to up to 50 employees, and participation is renewable for up to four years.
