Tech company hires CEO
A local technology company has a new CEO.
Grand Rapids-based SalesPad, which makes enterprise resource planning software, hired Michael Biwer for the role, according to the company yesterday.
Biwer will succeed company co-founder and former CEO Matt Williams, who will assume the role of chief technology officer.
The move will enable Williams to return to his creative passion and work closely with the SalesPad development teams on innovations.
“We’re fortunate to have someone with such extensive operating experience in software, technology and big data take the helm at SalesPad,” Williams said. “We’re standing on the threshold of some incredible growth opportunities, and we know Michael’s prior experience is precisely what we need to achieve the next level of growth. We’re excited to see how far we can go as a company.”
Biwer has held several top and senior-level positions for various companies, covering sectors such as digital marketing, information technology and enterprise software.
Earlier in his career, he spent several years in finance and management consulting, with Ford Motor Company and Deloitte Consulting.
Originally from West Michigan, Biwer has spent much of his career in California working with "some of the fastest-growing brands and technology companies in the world."
“I’m elated to be back in Grand Rapids as SalesPad’s CEO,” Biwer said. “What this team of talented professionals has accomplished to date under Matt’s leadership is impressive. I am eager to build on that success and make the necessary investments in people, innovation, marketing and sales to achieve everything we’re capable of achieving.”
He holds a B.B.A, specializing in finance, from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from U-M, focusing on strategy and operations.
