Food brand releasing new flavors
A food maker is rolling out a new flavor for its brand of toaster pastries and bringing back another.
The Pop-Tarts brand of Battle Creek-based Kellogg Company will add frosted chocolate cupcake and bring back frosted confetti cupcake to its lineup, according to Kellogg this week.
The two Pop-Tarts cupcake flavors will be in stores nationwide this June.
Frosted confetti cupcake was last on shelves in June 2017 and is “the second most requested flavor to return to the Pop-Tart flavor lineup.”
The new Pop-Tarts cupcake flavors “offer a delicious treat for any time of day — breakfast to snacking.”
“We love to give fans the flavors they love most,” said Joe Beauprez, director of marketing, Pop-Tarts.
The brand's research shows that over 50% of Pop-Tart customers eat the toaster pastry as a snack.
