Gerald R. Ford International Airport is reporting another record.

With 292,699 passengers, last month was the airport’s busiest April ever, up 13% from last year.

The airport has seen passenger growth for the past 19 months.

Through April, the airport has served 1,164,409 passengers in 2019, up 11 percent from last year, which was the busiest in the airport’s history.

“People ask us repeatedly what is our key to success, and we credit our team’s tremendous efforts in safety, customer service, innovation and maintenance, mixed in with an outpouring of community support,” said Brian Picardat, interim president and CEO, Ford airport.

“We know passengers have choices when they fly, but more and more, we are seeing our West Michigan community choose the Ford airport.”
