Bank hires VP
A West Michigan bank has named a new vice president.
Kalamazoo-based First National Bank of Michigan hired Kim Melvin as VP and personal relationship manager, according to the bank last month.
“Kim has 30-plus years of banking experience with a specific emphasis on providing tailored banking solutions for customers. She’s a perfect fit for us,” said Daniel Bitzer, president and CEO, First National Bank of Michigan.
Added Cindy Kole, SVP and COO: “Kim’s banking reputation in West Michigan is widespread, and she is highly regarded by customers and fellow bankers. Her customer service skills and team work are well known in our community.”
Prior to her new role, Melvin was SVP and senior banking advisor at PNC in Kalamazoo.
She serves on committees for the Kalamazoo Community Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation.
She holds a B.A. in business administration from Hope College.
First National Bank
Founded in 2006, First National Bank of Michigan is a private investor-owned bank.
It provides home mortgages, personal loans and retail and commercial banking services.
First National Bank of Michigan has offices in Kalamazoo, Portage, Grand Rapids, Holland and Lansing.
The institution had about $574 million in assets in 2018.
