A dermatology practice has expanded one of its locations into a new building.

West Michigan Dermatology has a new office in Grandville, at 3434 Rivertown Point Court, according to First Companies this week.

The 13,000-square-foot renovated space is 3,000 square feet larger than the Grandville location the practice had occupied since 2004, at 4175 Parkway Place SW.

The practice expanded in order to see more patients in a timely manner, with general dermatology services, Mohs skin cancer removal surgery, cosmetic treatments and a soon-to-open pathology lab with diagnosing services all under one roof.

Inside the former Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, the renovated building includes a private waiting area for surgical patients, a pathology diagnostic lab to expedite patient test results, a cosmetic revitalizing center, modern exam rooms, a large break room, office space and parking.

The office also has decorative lighting and a natural stone accent wall on the exterior.

Grand Rapids-based First Companies was the contractor on the project.

R2 Design was the architect for the project.

West Michigan Dermatology relocated its other office, in Holland Township, in December.
