Priority Health has purchased two parcels of land next to its headquarters.

PHMB Properties, a subsidiary of the health insurance company Priority Health, which is part of Spectrum Health, has bought the properties at 3123 and 3175 Leonard St. NE in Grand Rapids for $6 million, according to city property records.

The land was purchased on June 13 from Makris Family Properties II, which is registered under Matthew Koukios, according to state records.

The parcel at 3175 Leonard St. NE was occupied by the Red Hot Inn diner. The 5,219-square-foot building sits on 1.62 acres.

The other parcel was occupied by Gus’s Original, a fast-casual restaurant that was owned by Koukios. The 2,930-square-foot building sits on a 0.6-acre lot.
