A year of programs at an arts center in the region will be covered by a donation from a corporate foundation.

The Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation is donating the funds to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts for various programs: the Children’s Film Festival, Artists in Residence, Growing Young Artists, Project Based Learning and more.

The donation amount was not disclosed at press time.

Perrigo will be presenting a check to the center on July 15 at 9 a.m. at the center, at 400 Culver St.

“Everyone is very excited about the region-wide impact of the gift,” a foundation spokesperson said.

The Saugatuck Center for the Arts hosts several educational programs and events, such as a farmers market, and its theater space hosts concerts and performances.
