A local real estate development and capital management firm has hired three new leaders.

Granger Group has appointed the following: Jason Grupe, chief operating office; Mike Johnson, director of property management; and Terry Wolter, director of development.

“Welcoming Jason, Mike and Terry to our organization is very exciting because we are filling three vital positions at Granger Group with top talent from around the nation,” said Gary Granger, president and CEO of Granger Group. “Granger Group’s vision is to become the nation’s premier real estate development, property management and investment services firm, and bringing highly qualified professionals aboard increases organizational momentum toward this goal.”

Grupe will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company including development, construction, sales and marketing, finance, human resources and design. He also will manage relationships with key business partners while implementing operational systems and processes to accommodate organizational objectives.

“The move to Granger Group is an incredible opportunity for me to apply over a decade of financial and strategic real estate planning experience in a thriving West Michigan market,” Grupe said.

Wolter will provide leadership to the development team and spearhead land development initiatives, specifically taking them from concept to completion. He also will manage the entitlement process by garnering municipal project support and designing criteria for project sites alongside project architects, general contractors and tenants.

Johnson will manage nearly 2 million square feet of commercial, retail, medical office and industrial property for Granger Group-owned Investment Property Management.

IPM manages Granger Group owned assets across the state of Michigan and provides property management services to other companies looking to maximize their real estate investment.

The Granger Group portfolio extends throughout Michigan, but the company is currently dedicating a large amount of its resources to four development projects specifically in West Michigan, including Metro Health The Village in Wyoming, Park Place retail development in Zeeland, Quincy Marketplace in Holland and The Reserve single-family homes and apartments in Wyoming.
