A local tech company has opened a new out-of-state office.

Grand Rapids-based Service Express opened its first service office in Connecticut earlier this month. The new office is located at 4 Research Dr. in Shelton.

By opening a regional office in Connecticut, the company will not only be able to provide local support to the numerous accounts in the state, but also increase its footprint on the East Coast and provide more seamless support to the current customers in neighboring states, said Service Express President and CEO Ron Alvesteffer.

“Connecticut has a diverse business population with all industries represented, including several of the largest universities on the East Coast and headquarters for many of the country’s largest insurance carriers,” Alvesteffer said.

Specializing in post-warranty server, storage and network support, Service Express maintains multivendor data center equipment for hospitals, manufacturing plants, universities, banks, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, government agencies and other mid-sized to large companies worldwide.
