Exec named one of top Women Leaders in health care
The president and CEO of a local health system is being recognized as a national leader in her industry.
Spectrum Health’s Tina Freese Decker is one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women Leaders for 2019.
The program recognizes women in a variety of leadership roles, spotlighting their administrative and professional accomplishments.
“These high achievers are developing policy, leading change and guiding health care delivery improvement across the country,” the publication says.
Freese Decker’s bio for the award notes that she oversaw a $300-million care re-design and EHR implementation during her tenure as Spectrum’s COO and that the system cut per admission expenses by 70%.
It also states that she has expanded roles for women in leadership, including adding five women to C-suite positions.
