Health provider opens autism center
A health provider focused on autism treatment has opened a new location in the area.
Traverse City-based Autism Centers of Michigan recently opened a location in Crystal Springs, at 1545 68th St. SE, according to Colliers International West Michigan.
The 3,915-square-foot space was renovated to serve different age groups and ensure safety.
Autism Centers of Michigan provides intensive, evidence-based applied behavior analysis treatment for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum and related disorders.
The organization is “committed to helping children and families impacted by autism,” and the new office will allow the organization to “serve more families," said Michael Dow, president.
Autism Centers of Michigan has 10 locations across the state and opened its first West Michigan location a year ago in Grand Rapids Township, at 1000 E. Paris Ave. SE.
It is a subsidiary of Coral Gables-based Acorn Health.
Jason Webb, an associate vice president at Colliers International West Michigan, handled leasing for Autism Centers of Michigan. The building is owned by Canal Point Ventures, which represented itself in the transaction.
The building also houses other health providers, Webb said.
