Wealth management practice hires SVP
A wealth management practice of a national bank has named a new senior vice president and senior relationship strategist who will be based in West Michigan.
Hawthorn PNC Family Wealth, part of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based PNC Financial Services Group, said it hired Michael Curtis for the role covering Michigan.
He will be based in Grand Rapids and will work closely with Hawthorn wealth strategists and fiduciary, investment and banking advisers to deliver the Hawthorn “integrated wealth management experience” to “a limited number of families and individuals.”
Curtis began his career at Merrill Lynch in July 2000 as a commercial credit manager working with small- and middle-market business owners on their lending needs.
He subsequently transitioned to Merrill Lynch Trust Company as a trust officer responsible for administering trust and investment management accounts for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
Prior to joining PNC, he was a senior trust officer with U.S. Trust, Bank of America’s private wealth management arm.
Curtis earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University and a juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
He also is a certified financial planner and certified exit planning adviser.
Hawthorn PNC Family Wealth, a member of The PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE: PNC), provides integrated wealth management solutions to ultra-affluent families and individuals with investable assets of at least $20 million.
