An attorney with a West Michigan law firm has earned a lifetime achievement award for his work with the nonprofit industry.

Warner Norcross + Judd attorney David Thoms was honored with the Vanguard Award by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association.

Thoms was recognized with the lifetime achievement award for his 40-year career working with nonprofits.

He assists his clients with nonprofit and charities law, tax law, and trusts and estates.
