World Affairs Council producing fall speaker series

The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan has named the lineup for its fall speaker series.

The series is called Strategic Partnerships: Three Countries Important to U.S. International Relations.

The three discussions will be on Germany, Japan and Vietnam.

All three programs will be held from 7-8:15 p.m. at Aquinas College’s Donnelly Center in Grand Rapids, at 157 Woodward Lane SE.

The cost for each event is $10.

“Vietnam, the United States and the Long Road to Peace" by Ed Martini, history professor and associate provost of extended university programs at Western Michigan University

Oct. 8

“Wunderbar Together: Germany and the U.S." by Wolfgang Moessinger, German consul general for the Midwest

Oct. 29

"The Future of Japanese-U.S. Relations" by Tsutomu Nakagawa, Japanese consul general for the Midwest
