An electrical contractor in the region has a new 25,000-square-foot headquarters.

Work is complete on the $2-million headquarters for Hoekstra Electrical Services in Holland, at 80 W. 64th St., according to the firm this month.

Hoekstra has 70 employees and outgrew its previous headquarters in Hamilton.

The new facility includes production space and expanded areas for all aspects of the business, including the controls and automation group.

“We’ve been steadily growing since we started 15 years ago and needed to expand in order to add more space for all of our operations,” said Paul Hoekstra, president, Hoekstra Electrical Services.

The move also gives the firm closer access to the freeway to better serve customers.

Construction of the new facility was done by Midwest Construction Group of Zeeland. The project broke ground in 2018 and was completed earlier this summer.

Hoekstra specializes in commercial and residential electrical services, along with controls and automation engineering and integration.
