Nonprofit hires director of fund development
A local hospice nonprofit has named a new lead fundraiser.
Heather Duffy is the new director of fund development at Grand Rapids-based Emmanuel Hospice.
Duffy is responsible for executing the fund development program to grow the resources and programs of Emmanuel Hospice.
Duffy brings nine years of nonprofit experience to Emmanuel, most recently managing the major giving program for WGVU Public Media’s development department.
With a background in fine art, Duffy has also served as exhibitions manager for ArtPrize and curator for the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts.
“With her experience in and passion for fund development, we are confident we will be able to continue growing our organization and helping our patients live their lives to the fullest,” said Sara Lowe, executive director, Emmanuel Hospice.
Duffy is on the board of the Ecliptic at Rosa Parks Circle Conservancy, the leadership team for CreativeMornings Grand Rapids and a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Rapids.
She holds a B.F.A. in painting from the University of South Alabama and an M.F.A. in painting from Ferris State University.
