A national pizza chain has a new location in the area.

Franchisee Jerry Heath is opening a Hungry Howie’s location in Ada today, at 7277 Thornapple River Dr. SE, according to a spokesperson for the pizza chain.

It is Heath’s 10th location with the chain, and he plans to open additional locations in the Grand Rapids area in the coming years, according to Hungry Howie’s.

“It has been an incredible pleasure to serve quality pizza to the Grand Rapids metropolitan area for more than 25 years,” Heath said. “I look forward continuing to build Hungry Howie’s fan base within the Ada community.”

To celebrate the grand opening, the new location will offer customers a large one-topping carryout pizza for $7.99 today. The store is also donating 10% of the day’s sales to Ada Elementary School.

The location’s hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Founded in 1973 in Taylor, Hungry Howie’s serves pizza with eight flavored crust options: butter, butter cheese, Cajun, garlic herb, onion, ranch, sesame and asiago cheese. Its menu also features oven-baked calzone-style subs, breads, salads and flavored wings.

The chain has over 550 locations in 20 states across the U.S.
