Chamber exec wins statewide award
An executive at the Grand Rapids Chamber has won an award from a statewide association.
The Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals, or MACP, awarded the 2019 Michigan Chamber Professional award to Mark Allen, director of business services at the Grand Rapids Chamber.
The award recognizes chamber professionals who have made “significant accomplishments to advance the chamber of commerce movement in the prior three years, while maintaining professional development through continuing education.”
The recognition comes from a nomination by peers and selection by the MACP board.
“It is an honor to recognize Mark as an industry frontrunner in Michigan,” said Anita Nystrom, director, Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals.
“His contributions help raise the bar for our association and model excellence among chamber professionals.”
Allen is a past chair and current member of the MACP Program Committee.
Allen is currently participating in the Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program by U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
The Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals is the association for almost 300 chambers in Michigan representing more than 500 chamber professionals.
