Partners hosting dinner for veterans
Comcast is teaming up with an outdoor sports network to host a dinner tonight for Grand Rapids veterans.
Sportsman Channel and Comcast are hosting their Hunt.Fish.Feed dinner for veterans on Nov. 11 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Exodus Place in Grand Rapids, at 322 Front Ave. SW.
Hunt.Fish.Feed. is a national campaign created in 2007 by Sportsman Channel to educate the public about providing natural resources to help combat nationwide hunger.
The network hosts and sponsors an annual tour that visits cities and serves meals to people in need. The menu will include venison sloppy Joe, potato salad with bacon and rosemary, fresh fruit salad, dessert, milk and juice.
Scott Leysath, executive chef for Hunt.Fish.Feed and star of Sportsman Channel’s “The Sporting Chef,” will oversee kitchen operations.
Leysath cut his culinary teeth in the food and beverage industry. From bouncer to VP, he worked his way up the corporate ladder of a 34-unit chain in the western U.S., before starting a restaurant venture near Sacramento, California.
Launched in 2003, Sportsman Channel, Sportsman HD and Sportsman Channel Canada are television and digital media networks focused on outdoor sport like hunting and fishing.
