A supplier of components to specialty automotive markets has named a new operations executive.

Grandville-based Hadley hired Brad Spooner as VP of operations based on his “ability to drive results and help others reach their potential for success,” according to the company last month.

Spooner has over 28 years of experience in diverse industries, including aerospace, automotive and building products.

Hadley noted Spooner uses the lean manufacturing methodology’s visual management systems to “highlight problems and empower people to get the work done.”

“The addition of Spooner strengthens a culture that strives to continuously improve and deliver flawless execution during Hadley’s unprecedented global growth and opportunities,” said Jim Green, president and CEO, Hadley.

Spooner said he joined Hadley, because he wants to “make a lasting impact with a company that has a great reputation.”

“Operational excellence is about developing teams in an environment where people have to problem solve — which brings learning — and learning brings continuous improvement,” Spooner said.

He attended Kettering University in Flint, according to LinkedIn.
