Law firm hires director of IT
There’s a new IT executive at a local law firm.
Grand Rapids-based Miller Johnson hired Joseph Anderson as director of information technology, according to the firm this month.
Anderson is responsible for the strategy, planning, development and execution of information management and information technology infrastructure projects.
Most recently, Anderson spent 19 years with IBM in Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for business operations of the Watson health cloud.
Previously, he worked at BAE Systems, where he managed a team that was responsible for deploying Lotus, Microsoft and Cisco technologies to U.S. embassies and consulates throughout the world in preparation for Y2K.
He has also held administration and IT positions at law firms in the Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Virginia markets.
He holds certifications from IBM, including Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner and Finance and Accounting Essentials.
He is the co-author of three books and enjoys supporting Special Olympics and the USGA.
He holds a B.A. from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and an M.S. in legal administration from the University of Denver-Sturm College of Law.
