Priority Health recently launched a mobile app and online member account.

Members are able to view personalized information, locate doctors, keep track of spending and access tools to help save money on the cost of care, Grand Rapids-based Priority Health said.

This move is to meet the preference of 85% of Priority Health’s members to self-serve online, said Marti Lolli, chief marketing officer and SVP of consumer and government markets, Priority Health.

Features in the app include tracking spending balances, searching claims and a detailed breakdown of care and prescription costs, messaging customer service, virtual care and personalized wellness programs and activities.

“In today’s digital age, we understand the importance of incorporating new technology into our members’ experience to best serve their needs,” Lolli said. “The Priority Health app provides members with the latest tools and resources to help them improve their health and lower their cost of care, using a simple, easy-to-navigate format.”

Members previously accessed their information through their MyHealth account, which has been updated to focus solely on Spectrum Health medical care.

As of September, members no longer see their health insurance information in MyHealth, though they still have access to Spectrum Health providers, appointments and other patient information through the site.
