Law firm adds five associates

A local law firm is growing its staff.

Varnum LLP recently welcomed five associate attorneys who all have worked as summer associates at the firm.

Ethan Beswick, Alexander Campbell, Chloe Cunningham, Ashleigh Draft and Olayinka Ope all will practice at the firm’s Grand Rapids office.

Beswick focuses on business and corporate service. He also provides general business and transactional legal assistance. Beswick has experience in tax, real estate, aircraft matters, mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, financing and contracts.

He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. from Hope College.

Campbell practices corporate and real estate law. He assists with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters and securities-related projects.

He is a graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and Hope College.

Cunningham specializes in litigation. She works in the firm’s corporate and health care practices. She has experience in drafting organization and entity formation documents, performing due diligence in M&A matters, and providing research on commercial litigation and health care law matters.

Cunningham received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.S. from Arizona State University.

Draft practices labor and employment law. She also works with higher education clients and provides support on a variety of litigation matters.

Draft graduated from Michigan State University College of Law and Calvin College, where she received her B.A.

Ope focuses on litigation issues related to property disputes and toxic tort claims. She has experience in matters such as startup entity formation and employment benefit packages.

She previously worked with the firm’s immigration practice team to draft work verification and petition letters for work employment visa applications.

Ope is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
