Ford Airport adds three nonstop flights
The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is adding nonstop flights to three new destinations.
Allegiant Airlines will begin seasonal service this year to Los Angeles, Boston and Austin, Texas.
Service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will begin June 5, with introductory fares as low as $66.
Service to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) will begin May 7, with introductory fares as low as $33.
Service to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will begin May 22, with introductory fares as low as $55.
The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly.
With the addition of these new routes, Allegiant will serve 14 cities from Grand Rapids and the Ford Airport will have nonstop flights to 35 destinations.
Last year, Allegiant established a $42.8 million base at the Ford Airport, where it houses two Airbus aircrafts. The base allows the airline to more easily offer new routes to and from Grand Rapids, the company said.
