A local distributor of foodservice supplies and equipment has acquired a paper and supplies company.

Grand Rapids-based BBC Distributing recently acquired Wyoming-based Premier Paper & Supplies, according to Grand Rapids-based Small Business Deal Advisors.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jim Bonander started Premier Paper & Supplies with his father in 1994. The company is a regional distributor of point-of-sale products; paper supplies, including Hamco receipt rolls; and other nondurable goods.

Its customers include restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations.

Jim Bonander and his wife, Pat Bonander, recently decided they were ready to retire and sell the business.

They described BBC Distributing as “the kind of buyer we were looking for.”

BBC Distributing is a portfolio company of The Enterprises.

Ed Stasiak, president at KSS Enterprises, another portfolio company of The Enterprises, and Tom Hill, CEO, KSS Enterprises, said they saw “great potential” in Premier and are “excited to fuel the company’s growth going forward.”

SBDA served as an M&A adviser to Premier Paper & Supplies, including managing the preparatory, marketing, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction.
