Construction firm hires VP

A Grand Rapids construction group has a new vice president of operations.

Rockford Construction has appointed John Raimondo to its leadership team as vice president of operations. In his new role, he will continue to push forward Rockford’s strategy and project teams.

“We are very excited to welcome John to our team,” said Shane Napper, president of construction at Rockford. “With his extensive industry knowledge and strong relationships throughout the state, John will enhance our competitive advantage.”

As a seasoned construction professional, Raimondo has served in a variety of roles at firms across Michigan, including senior project manager, business development director and chief operating officer.

Raimondo holds an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from Wayne State University along with B.S. degrees in engineering technology and architecture from Fairmont State University, and construction engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

Throughout his career, he’s held a variety of positions including senior project manager, business development director and chief operating officer. Raimondo is a member of the Civil Engineering Advisory Board at Lawrence Technological University, affiliated with the Design Build Institute of America-Michigan Chapter, and involved in government affairs with the West Michigan chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
