A restaurant chain out of Texas specializing in wings has opened a second location after entering the market in 2018.

Dallas-based Wingstop Restaurants recently opened a 1,950-square-foot restaurant at 1633 28th St. SW in Wyoming, according to NAI Wisinski of West Michigan.

Wingstop is a restaurant chain that specializes in cooked-to-order, hand-sauced and tossed chicken wings.

The company opened its first restaurant in West Michigan at East Paris Shoppes in Grand Rapids, at 3923 28th St. SE, in late 2018.

“We are excited to be opening a second location here because during our research we found that Grand Rapids is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the country and there are no other wing places of our kind in the area, so we thought this was a perfect location to spread our business,” said Niel Pancholi and Chirag Patel, franchisees for the location.

“We are looking forward to expanding our presence in the Grand Rapids market.”

Wingstop has plans to open three more locations in the West Michigan area in the coming months, according to NAI.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Dallas, Wingstop operates and franchises more than 1,100 restaurants across the U.S., Mexico, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Colombia and Panama.
