Credit union appoints marketing executive

A credit union in the region hired a new senior vice president of marketing.

St. Joseph-based United Federal Credit Union said Feb. 12 that it appointed Kaylee Ganus to the role.

Ganus will lead marketing, advertising, public relations, community relations and product management activities throughout the credit union’s six-state footprint.

“I am delighted to welcome Kaylee to Team United and to the leadership team,” said Terry O’Rourke, president and CEO of United Federal Credit Union. “Kaylee is well-versed in the credit union industry and philosophy and brings a fresh approach to marketing with a commitment to enhancing the member experience.”

Ganus joined the financial industry in public relations in 2013. Since then, she has gained experience in marketing, corporate communications and product development.

She previously was vice president of marketing at Honor Credit Union in Berrien Springs, where she led marketing and communication efforts, helped develop product road maps, developed best practices for social media engagement, curated thought leadership content and led the institution’s website redesign.

Ganus earned a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in strategic communication from Purdue University. She also is accredited in public relations through the Public Relations Society of America.

She currently serves as an executive committee member for the Greater Southwest Chapter of the Michigan Credit Union League and also is a volunteer with United Way of Southwest Michigan.
