Rapid riders have the opportunity to engage with transit leaders and recommend improvements to their transit system.

The Rapid will host an open house Feb. 25 for the community to review and provide feedback for The Rapids’ Mobility For All planning process.

The event will go from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and again from 3-7 p.m. in the second-floor community room of Rapid Central Station, 250 Grandville Ave. SW, Grand Rapids.

The open house is part of a yearlong planning process to identify ways to make the current bus system more efficient for more people. Open house participants will be able to review potential scenarios and improvements to the transit system, such as the frequency of buses, weekend and late-night service, and routes that serve new areas of the community.

Experts will be available to discuss issues and ideas with participants. All input will be considered as The Rapid develops its final plan later this summer. The meeting is a come-and-go open house format, and there will be no formal presentation.
