When no one is looking
What do you do when no one is looking?
A few days ago, I was walking around our neighborhood, and I noticed something interesting happening at a home that recently sold.
My neighbor, the exiting homeowner, was up on a ladder cleaning the leaves out of the gutters.
At first I didn't think much of it, but after reflecting, I was moved.
This guy just sold his home — along with the leaves in the gutter — to a stranger who will likely never even know his gutters were recently cleaned out.
I was humbled by this act and grew a deep respect for my soon-to-be former neighbor.
It's easy to do great things when you have an audience, but what do you do when no one is looking?
Inward. Onward. Upward!
