To send or not send that email

In a world where information and data are ubiquitous and high flowing, a potentially negative byproduct has been born.

I recently was feeling guilty for not keeping up with all of the wonderful articles and nuggets people thoughtfully send me from all corners of the world.

Then I realized, my mind was overloaded, and I needed to create a compensatory system for myself — so I did.

When I receive content, I either need to (a) slow down at that moment and absorb or (b) take the time to schedule the energy to read it at a later date.

If (a) or (b) don't click, then I click delete. That’s it.

Challenge yourself to think twice before sharing and forwarding. Be thoughtful and intentional as to not be an unintentional distraction.

Like my Gma always said, "Be careful what you put into your mind — garbage in, garbage out."

Inward. Onward. Upward!
