Ride-booking app delivers on-demand kittens
Need a pet break? A ride-booking app and a nonprofit are teaming up to provide users with on-demand kittens.
Tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Uber users can request the “KITTENS” option through the Uber app and receive a 15-minute visit from a gaggle of kittens.
You can snuggle up with your new furry friends or play to your heart’s content.
All kittens will be provided by the Humane Society of West Michigan and chaperoned by a shelter representative and an Uber representative at every stop.
Kitten visits require a $30 snuggle fee, paid through the Uber app.
Uber said it will be supporting the Grand Rapids-based Humane Society of West Michigan with a donation.
Uber said it’s important to have an enclosed space or a dedicated room for kitten playtime to accommodate a visit and advised users to make sure their bosses and buildings are "going to be cool with the meows" and no one in the area is allergic.
Afraid you might fall in love in those 15 minutes? Not a problem, all of the kittens will be eligible for adoption.
