Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses producing food showcase
An African-American-focused economic development organization is setting the table for a cultural food experience.
Grand Rapids Area Black Businesses, or GRAAB, will host GRAAB Eats: Food Showcase from 5-8 p.m. May 24 at Grand Rapids Downtown Market, 435 Ionia Ave. SW in downtown Grand Rapids.
Organizers say on the event’s Facebook page that it will be an “amazing, cultural and unique food experience.”
It will feature food made by local black entrepreneurs who are food truck operators, caterers, restaurant owners, bakers and retailers.
The event will feature more than 20 vendors selling their products on site.
Attendees will be invited to sample the food and desserts, then decide which favorites to purchase for takeout.
Tickets, $10, can be purchased online.
