Brown Bag Lunch & Learn: Global Perspectives We see reminders every day in our professional and personal lives why it is important to have a global perspective. Two leaders representing West Michigan-based international NGOs will share their challenges, successes and why having a global perspective is critically important to their work. We will discuss issues around cultural competency, communication, and involvement of local people in addressing complex social problems. Participants can expect to come away with helpful information they can use to connect why such a perspective is important to their organization regardless of whether they engage in international work. Presenters: Mary Dailey Brown and Ron Geerlings Cost: Free! Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch to this event. Water, coffee, and tea will be provided.
